Message: Hi Mary,

It has been a pleasure to meet you and your Mom while John and I are here in Philly. Your web site is awesome and inspiring. You are one courageous lady and we know that with Dr. Schwartzman by your side, you will begin to feel better. He won't quit until you do! Just keep it simple and slow and progress will happen. Sometimes, we don't see it day to day or even week to week, but it will happen. And, sometimes, I think progress is even measured in not going backwards, just steady as she goes! RSD is a nasty disease, but the best chance we all have at winning against it is to keep fighting and not give in, no matter what! We are inspired by your story of courage and faith and you have a very devoted family. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Melissa does a wonderful job, and I look forward to reading all of her entries, but it was a special treat to know that you felt well enough to write an entry yourself. I hope you can soon get out of the walls of the hospital and see the areas around you instead of just seeing Melissa's pictures. Tell your mother and Melissa I said hi, and I hope all of you will be able to be closer to your family soon.

It was such a shock (in a good way) to read Melissa's blog (Friday 1/18) and see that the doctor took time to sit and talk with you at such great lengths. It truly shows how much the doctors down there seem to care--such a level of compassion that many doctors here in the USA seem to lack. Good luck and keep on getting better!

Mary it is so good to see a smile on your face! I have been praying for you everyday and I am so, so happy that the coma worked! Its such a blessing that there are Dr's out there willing to "go out of bounds" to try to help others. Hopefully from this a less radical form of the coma can be found like the Ketamine injections or drips that are happening in the U.S. I will continue to pray that you get stronger each day.

Message: Mary,
My eighteen year old daughter has RSD. She is in a wheelchair most of the time. We have tried everything. I have read of the 'restart' idea and it sounds like it would work. Please know that we are praying for you.
Asking God to heal you and to let your journey pave the way for others like my Bethany to get the same treatment.

Message: Dear Mary, unfortunetly I do know the pain you are going through, but it means I know exactly what to pray for! God does hear us, and is there when we call. He brings us together in strength & love and knows our needs, and holds our tears. Remember Christ's joy is your strength, laughter is like good medicine to the soul, and your beauty is growing deeper and more evident through this season in your life. It will get better. I am praying for you daily, please call me if you need to talk, or vent! (951) 571-3471. God doesn't mind you venting either, I've done my share of yelling, and crying out. Be filled with hope that brings joy and peace.

Message: Hi Mary,
I am so relieved to hear about the new treatment in Mexico. I have been praying for you and you are daily in my thoughts. I will get the word out, here, on the Monterey Peninsula to stir up some support for your treatment. I cannot fathom the pain you must be experiencing, its unthinkable to me that you have remained in discomfort for so long. I am so sorry.
Please be encouraged, there are so many people working hard to make a difference for you and when people come together Great Things happen!
Looking forward to meeting you - God Bless,
Lisa

Message: Hi Mary,

My name is Erikka and unfourtunetly I suffer with RSD also. I have had it for about 5 years or so now and was lucky (if you can call it that) until Febuary of 2007 when my RSD spread to my right arm from my left arm and right foot. The RSD then spread up my leg to include the knee. I am able to walk but with difficulty. My prayers are with you always and I hope the up coming treatment in Mexico takes your pain away. I have been communicating with your sister Melissa a bit and you sound like a remarkable person. If you would like to communicate let me know. I am always willing to talk. And know a bit about RSD. I co-run a website with a girl I meet in a Rehab hospital who has full body RSD. Sorry this is long. Sendng my thoughts and prayers to you and to your family.
